This pivotal moment coincided with our acquisition of the office of Jack Young, an esteemed solicitor based in Milngavie. The passing of Robert and Thomas Russell prompted their family to erect the Russell Institute in Paisley, a testament to their enduring legacy.

Gillian started her career in property back in 2005. She has worked in all aspects of the property world, with experience in Sales, Lettings, Property Management and New Builds.
Gillian is a fully registered ARLA Agent & prides herself on customer service and being approachable and supportive to all involved in the property selling or renting process.
Gillian is a proud mum of a very sporty daughter and spends much of her time supporting her at Highland Dancing and gymnastics competitions.
Gillian's passion is to travel, and she was lucky enough to see much of the world in her previous life as cabin crew.

Calum has always had a keen interest in property and graduated with an Environmental Management & Town Planning Degree. Calum continues to be passionate about property and prides himself on providing a service to his clients that's second to none.
Calum continues to educate himself and is proud to be fully regulated by Property Mark, giving his clients absolute peace of mind that they are dealing with a knowledgeable, professional and regulated Estate Agent.
Out of work, Calum and his wife are busy running after their two young daughters, and also enjoys time on the golf course, playing for his local rugby club, Cartha Queens Park and an occasional malt whisky.

Throughout Anne’s career, she has had extensive experience in Civil Court Litigation, primarily focusing on Child and Family Law.
She regularly draws upon her litigation experience in appearing in Sheriff Courts and has been involved with various actions at the Sheriff Appeal Court in Edinburgh.
Anne has a very varied case load and advises on divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitation, pre-nuptial agreements, child support and child residence, adoption and contact. Anne advises clients both in and out of Court.
In all cases, Anne strives to help clients find a resolution to their family problems, which creates the best outcome for their family, without ending up in Court where that is possible.
She is frequently appointed to prepare Child Welfare Reports and disputed Residence and Contact Actions by Paisley Sheriff Court.

Valerie is a Graduate of Strathclyde University and has been with the firm for over 30 years and is married with two sons, both currently at Universtiy.
Valerie specialises in Property Law, both residential and commercial, and also in other areas of Private Client work such as applying for Guardianships for vulnerable adults, the creation of Powers of Attorney and Wills and also deals with Executries in the Company.
Valerie has been a tutor in Property Law and Private Client at The University of Glasgow for the past 7 years and enjoys the interactions with students.
Valerie is a member of Cartha Queens Park Women’s Rugby section and is currently Vice President of Cartha Queen Park Rugby Club with responsibility for the women’s section.
Valerie is also a member of Cartha Lightning, a touch rugby team founded 3 seasons ago.

Gary graduated in law from the University of Glasgow, thereafter attending the University of Strathclyde to complete his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. While at Strathclyde, Gary was awarded the Family Law Association prize for best performance in Family Law.
Gary joined MacFarlane Young in 2021 and has gained experience in all areas of the Firm’s work, initially focusing on Conveyancing to build on his experience gained immediately after graduation at a well-known Glasgow Firm. Gary now works regularly on Private Client matters including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Adults with Incapacity, as well as Executry work. Garyalso assists in Family Law matters. As a relative latecomer to law, Gary has extensive experience in management and finance, which he considers invaluable in his practise of law.
Outside of work, Gary enjoys rock climbing and is a member of the gym albeit with a somewhat sporadic attendance history.

Kirsty qualified as a Solicitor in 2018, having undertaken a varied traineeship in a Glasgow firm and then specialising in residential conveyancing.
She joined MacFarlane Young in 2020 and focuses mainly on residential and commercial conveyancing. Kirsty can also advise on wills, executries and Powers of Attorney.
She prides herself on her down-to-earth approach which often leads to repeat instructions from clients.
Kirsty is married with a young family. In her free time she enjoys socialising with family and friends.
